Jim Kelly. Bernie Kosar. Got it?
Knowing what we know now, if the Browns were in the same position as they are at this time, what would they do?
Pick one or the other, and call him your favorite. Assume he is the one drafted ahead of you. So, you trade down now because you can't draft that bumb, right? Right?
Wrong, because that would be incredibly stupid, wouldn't it? Wouldn't it?
Terry Pluto and Bud Shaw don't seem to get that it is possible for two quarterbacks to be approximately equal. In fact, this is common sense. Or is it that they think football people are manic extremists, or suffer some other form of mental illness?
Look at who the teams trying to trade up would be trading up for. Wentz or Goff. Are they dumbasses for wanting some bumb huh? Are they?
Terry thinks it's laughable that the Rams have said they're not sure which guy they want yet. Why? Why don't you trade up unless you like Kelly and think Kosar is a bumb or vice-versa? I don't get it. What am I missing, Terry?
And Terry, those second quarterback taken statistics are irrelevant, except maybe the Ryan Leaf one because he was so atrocious. These two guys are unique. There's no voodoo going on here; numerology is just a hobby. The number two isn't accursed. DePodesta won't consider superstitions or lucky numbers.
And look at Hue Jackson. He started out launching Big Bird out of the nest. Most recently, he turned a so-so Andy Dalton into an elite quarterback, then kicked ass with a much different second round pick with zero experience.
Why on Earth, between Goff and Wentz, and maybe even Lynch, for that matter, couldn't Hue Jackson do the same thing?
What did he say about Wentz? "He has everything you need", right? Well, so does Goff! Unless you think the hand-size thing is a biggee (btw Goff passed the wet ball test with flying colors-Wentz flunked). Or his weighing 215 lbs temporarily (probably 225+ by 2017 duh)
You people are all insane, do you know that? >snap-snap< wake tf up think THINK.
By the way I picked Kelly and Kosar for this because Kelly was a big brute and Kosar was 215 lbs. And threw side-arm (we'll substitute that for small hands ok?). Wentz is more athletic than Kelly but then Goff is much niftier than Kosar was so that's a wash.
In this example I personally would pick Kosar for accuracy and processing, but would somehow manage to force myself to draft Jim Kelly if Bernie was gone GOOD GRIEF STOP IT
