Obviously.
I like that Andrew Sendejo is embracing his role here (partly to help 2nd round pick Grant Delpit adapt to the Joe Woods defense).
As I've redundated redundantly, Grant Delpit was severely hampered during his (still impressive) 2019 college campaign, and his 2018 season better represents his exceptional talent.
This is why Our Lads projects him as the starting Free Safety in 2020.
Sendejo is a very good player, but knows he's on the "back nine" of his carreer, and sees that writing on the wall.
Who starts where or whatever isn't that critical on a defense that will use 3 safeties about twice as often as 3 linebackers (Sendejo and Delpit should both play a lot).
Labels don't work here, see? Many pundits don't get this: Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams, and Rodney Mitchellfield (and possibly A J Green and somebody we've never heard of) are the outside man cornerbacks, who are intended to single-handedly cover both outside Wide Receivers.
Delpit, Sendejo, and Joseph will plug the other holes.
If you blame Senjejo or Joseph for their injuries, and dismiss them on that basis, you are clueless, and need therapy.
Sendejo is 31 years old, but has been an above average starter (FS, SS, and nickel).
You can worry about Greedy Williams, but Sendejo, Joseph, and Wiliams are proven vets.
Karl Joseph has been exceptional, but cap pressure and his 2019 injury made him available dirt-cheap (kudos to Andrew Berry!)
Joseph is in his prime, too.
If you bash players for their inuries, you are an idiot and an asshole.
We can determine if a guy is injury-prone (or even if he fakes injuries), but Karl Joseph is niether fragile nor a slacker.
Rodney Redwinefield is the 4th satety.
If you think this 2020 Browns' secondary isn't one of the best in the NFL, you need a brain transplant okbye...
Except I repeat: If you bash a player for hs injuries, you are an asshole (
Just a final note here:
REAL racists are obviously assholes, and among the 20 or so I have met during my long life, I regret to inform my crickets and Bub that I'm related to 2 of them, and one of them is still alive.
