First, shouldn't Gregg let his assistants handle that stuff? Second, this is a very smart player, fully capable of executing every conceivable move.
And Myles is correct: Physical freak or no, if you get predictable, most Offensive Linemen can at least slow you down.
Because it's Garrett, I believe it's exactly what happened, and I expect Gregg Williams not to refute it, if he responds at all (Williams doesn't bullshoot either, unlike some Coaches we know...)
Clearly, Steve Wilks has a different attitude, as Garrett expects to have more freedom to use more moves (like all passrushers are encouraged to do by everybody else).
I'm really looking forward to seeing Myles Garrett 3.0...unchained.
I wonder what other skeletons Gregg might have in his closet. For one, Garrett said that he felt the Browns should have attacked the Steelers the same in Game 2 as in Game 1 last season.
I can't pretend I saw what Myles was talking about at the time, but in essence, Garrett felt that the Browns were more physical and "in their face" in Game 1; I get the impression that Garrett thought Gregg outsmarted himself in the rematch.
I do remember Gregg's response, which really ticked me off at the time: Gregg implied that Garrett just didn't want to "take responsibility" for the loss, and needed to blame somebody else.
Whuh-evah: I still like Gregg Williams...but Garrett was right and he was wrong.
Steve Doerschuk is deranged, as he still seems to expect John Dorsey to trade another high draft pick for the right to reduce his cap money by THIRTEEN MILLION DOLLARS...trading for 31 year old Gerald McCoy.
Seriously, this goober has a sports column and I don't? More IDIOCRACY!!!
Dordunk: Try McCoy for 3 mil after he's released because NOBODY wants that contract!!!
Ohmmm...ohmmm...if you believe money grows on trees (or doesn't matter), and Defensive Tackles can EARN 13 mil at 32, that rotational DE's are worth 13 mil, that the salary cap is irrelevant, that DePodesta is wallpaper and John Dorsey is as dumb as YOU are, you shouldn't be allowed out of your rubber room, ok?
Nothing against Gramps McCoy, who was still really good in 2018 and isn't to blame for his inflated contract. I'm just sick of incompetent columnists putting out dumbassitude cubed and getting paid for it.
Ohmmm...okbye
