I read an extremely ignorant and idiotic rationalization of Sashi Brown's contribution to the current Browns.
This writer credited Brown for leaving John Dorsey with draft picks and cap space, but blamed him for the quarterbacks, and even spewed some garbage about all his "busts".
This was a top ten dumbest-ever article.
Myles Garrett, Joe Schobert, Jabrill Peppers, Rashard Higgins, David Njoku, Derrick Kindred, Ogbah, and Larry Ogunjobi were Brown draft picks.
Other Brown guys include JC Tretter, Kevin Zietler, Briean Boddy-Calhoun, Jamie Collins, and Britton Colquitt.
If you call 5th, 6th, or 7th-round picks who don't work out "busts", or use those guys to bash a GM, you are an idiot. If you think Paul DePodesta had anything to do with drafting DeShone Kizer...or that Hue Jackson wasn't responsible for that pick, you are clueless.
I can't blame idiots for writing these articles, but the people who publish them should be ashamed of themselves. They're either clueless or apathetic themselves.
Stefanski gets a second interview?
Well, second interviews are usually based on first interviews, so this guy is probably special (at least in Dorsey's ears).
It's still confusing, since between Stefanski and Kitchens, Kitchens is the better playcalling Offensive Coordinator, and it's hard to see how these two would co-exist on the same team.
Conceivably, Stefanski is a possible OC UNDER Kitchens...or maybe he knows his limi--ok I got nothing here...I mean Stefanski over Williams...?
In Dorsey I trust. Kinda.
CJ Mosely or Anthony Barr would be nice veteran linebackers for the Browns to steal from other teams.
Nevermind all the geezer (over 30) guys listed in the linked article, and most of the rest, who aren't better than guys already here...D U H...
Mosely is the top target, and taking him from the Ravens would hurt the Ravens bad.
Mosely is the total package. He can play any 4-3 linebacker position, or inside in a 3-4. He's still young, and the Browns can out-bid the Ravens (or frankly anybody else) for him.
Collins or Kirksey vs Mosley hmm...(that was sarcasm...zing...)
The Browns biggest need is KICKER.
Dorsey should be prepared to (slightly/arguably) overpay for Mosely, Pierce (nose/Dt) and Justin Tucker.
CJ Mosely is a stud, but Justin Tucker would have won at least three more games for the Browns this season (probably including the season finale in Baltimore).
The Browns have only ONE "need":
K I C K E R.
I HAVE SPOKEN.
