Greedy Williams will start at CB vs the Jets. It might help some. You guys know I like Terrence Mitchell a lot, but Williams has too many physical advantages over Terrence to be held off for very long, plus Williams proved he could tackle (in spades) throughout preseason.
Freddie Kitchens says he thought Eric Kush did a good job at Right Guard vs the Titans.
He means these things, and he is usually correct, so you can stifle the obligitory snark, see?
I mean, if he had said that Hubbard or Robinson or Harris did a good job, you could sneer and snort all you wanted, but he won't offer any such BS.
This (such as it is) is good news, as we were all worried about Kush; indeed wondering how soon one of the two newest guys could replace him, right?
Now we're worried about Robinson and Hubbard again.
Ok but the Browns were "in" the Titans game until Robinson got the boot, Hubbard went to Left Tackle, and Kendall Lamm came in at Right Tackle.
Still with me here? Ok so this blew that "chemistry" the experts talk about so much all to hell.
Vs the Jets, Robinson will be back, and Hubbard will return to RT. Niether is worth writing home about, I know, but at least the Offensive Line will regain it's cohesiveness and continuity vs the Jets.

Mayfield looked especially sharp in practice today, and somebody is (rightfully) pointing out how effective the Browns' hurry-up is (mostly because of him).
It would be nice to hurry up all the time, but that's been tried. The hurry-uppers' defense ends up on the field too much and wearing out.
Sticking with it wouldn't have worked vs the Titans after the Robinson fiasco. Defenses blitze and stunt more vs hurry-ups, trying to blow stuff up in the backfield, and two new Offensive Tackles are too easy to screw up.
Somebody else broke down the 18 penalties the Browns drew.
Remember what I said about political correctness?
Tom Beilik's whole precedent for his alleged analyisis was that the penalized player was guilty of either poor technique or lack of discipline...the operative word being "guilty".
Tom concedes up front that every call was legitimate. Obviously, Tom has at least been brainwashed, and might be a pod-person.
A person using an actual brain as intended (especially from Cleveland) would never assume that referees were always right, let alone validate all 18 of those calls.
And yes, Tom did exactly that! He hinted that somebody might say that a couple of them might not have been absolutely neccessary BULLSHIT.

You kids...those referees unmistakeably screwed the Browns, systematically. I saw two holding calls that were bullshit (sorry if I hurt your feelings there🖕), but the players were innocent. H O L D I N G!!!!
And I can't trust a damn thing Tom wrote here about any of the other penalties.

My original intention was to create a kind of "forum" where the 4 of us discussed and debated all things Browns, but obviously all the invitees except you laughed at the notion.
I know you all have your carreers and lives to live and stuff, but I didn't think that asking for weekly discussions of the Browns was too much to ask. Excuse the hell outta ME!
