And why the hell is OBJ wearing a 350,000.00 watch on the freaking football field!?! Give me a break!!!
Well the hell with that game anyway. That's one where you want to burn the damn tape and pretend it never happened.
...well except for Baker Mayfield, and maybe his receivers. As I posted, one of his picks was actually a pretty good throw; literally inches off the perfect zone at over 12 yards.
When it's that close, that receiver is supposed to prevent the pick if he can't catch it himself. I'm not making excuses: that is part of the receivers' job, because all quarterbacks have to make those contested throws.
The other 2 were ugly, and Baker will need to make sure he doesn't take the cheese next time.
Odds are that the Browns' next game won't
Sam Darnold played quite well vs the Bills, but Jamison Crowder hogged up 14 of the receptions.
That's not good, as Crowder is the guy Steve Wilks will zero in on, and he has the players to do it.
When a Quarterback leans hard on one receiver, that's also a bad sign, because it might indicate that he's not seeing the whole field.
Some experts expect the Jets to make a big leap in 2019, but a big part of that is based on Sam Darnold himself.
I'll take Baker over Sam 10 out of 10 times, especially this week: Steve Wilks will likely put Ward on Jamison Crowder (without help) and make Darnold try to figure out how he's covering everybody else while unleashing hell on him.
Again, I'm not bashing Sam Darnold, but he came out of college with less than 30% of Baker's experience, and that at a lower level of competition. This is not a fair fight in 2019. Darnold isn't in Mayfield's area code yet (and might never get there...Colon.)
After what the Titans did to Hubbard on sunday, it looks like Freddie will need to use 2 backs or Tight Ends like he did as OC last season.
The pressure Mayfield was under was almost instant and constant; rediculous.
The Jets run a hybrid 3-4, and don't have the passrushers that the Titans did (the Titans were a top 5 2018 Defense, kids. The Jets aint like that, see?)
Robinson will be back, and Hubbard shouldn't be as overmatched as he was on sunday, so the max protects aren't urgent, and the 3-wides should work vs this defense.
Last call okbye
